Company Manager

Position Overview

Reagle Music Theatre seeks a detail-oriented and personable Company Manager for its 16-week summer season. The Company Manager serves as the primary point of contact for cast and crew, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and a positive environment throughout the production process. This role includes managing company logistics, coordinating schedules, and providing essential support to ensure a seamless theatrical experience.

Key Responsibilities

Company Logistics:

  • Arrange travel, housing, and transportation for out-of-town artists and staff.
  • Coordinate with local vendors and service providers to meet company needs.
  • Manage company accommodations, addressing any issues promptly.

Communication & Support:

  • Serve as the main liaison between cast, crew, creative teams, and theatre management.
  • Distribute daily schedules, rehearsal calls, and performance updates.
  • Address company members' concerns and facilitate solutions to problems as they arise.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate records of company-related expenses and submit expense reports.
  • Assist with payroll and tracking of weekly hours for all company members.
  • Ensure compliance with union agreements and company policies.

Health & Safety:

  • Monitor company health and safety, coordinating medical care or support if necessary.
  • Implement and oversee COVID-19 safety protocols, if applicable.
  • Ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for all company members.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Company Manager, Assistant Company Manager, or Stage Manager in a theatre setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Familiarity with AEA regulations and experience working in a union environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic accounting software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Position Overview

Reagle Music Theatre seeks an experienced Production Manager for its 16-week summer season. The Production Manager oversees all technical and logistical aspects of production, ensuring smooth execution from pre-production through final performances. This role collaborates closely with the Artistic Director, creative teams, designers, and technical staff to maintain high artistic and production standards while keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Season Planning & Budgeting:

  • Manage production budgets for the season’s three musicals.
  • Oversee production schedules, load-in/load-out timelines, and technical rehearsals.
  • Ensure adherence to production deadlines and coordinate with designers and creative teams.

Technical & Production Oversight:

  • Supervise and support scenic, lighting, sound, props, and costume departments.
  • Manage set construction, installation, and strike, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Oversee technical rehearsals and troubleshoot production challenges as needed.

Staff & Crew Management:

  • Manage production staff, including technical directors and crew.
  • Facilitate communication between designers, directors, and technical teams.
  • Ensure a safe and productive working environment for all production personnel.

Venue & Equipment Coordination:

  • Oversee use of theatre spaces, ensuring proper maintenance and organization.
  • Coordinate rentals of technical equipment, scenic elements, and other necessary resources.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols for cast, crew, and production teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including fire codes and union guidelines where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Production Manager or Technical Director in professional or regional theatre.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and budgets efficiently.
  • Knowledge of scenic, lighting, sound, and rigging systems.
  • Experience working with designers, directors, and technical staff.
  • Familiarity with AEA, and OSHA regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment as needed.
