Kate Sheridan
Kate Sheridan (she/her) is proud to serve as Education Director at Reagle Music Theatre, having worked across the state with youth and adults of all ages as a performer, director, adjudicator, and coach. Kate holds an MA in Educational Theatre from NYU Steinhardt, a BA in Theatre from College of the Holy Cross, and has trained in improv, comedy writing, and musical theatre at The Second City Chicago, The Groundlings Los Angeles, and North Shore Music Theatre.
Prior to joining RYT, Kate spent two years as a casting associate for TV, film, and commercial work with Boston's Slate Casting. She has directed and taught at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, The Hanover Theatre Conservatory, St. John's Preparatory School, and Mount Wachusett Community College, in addition to serving as a long-time adjudicator for the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild (of which she is a proud alum).
As a performer, favorite credits include The SpongeBob Musical (Wheelock Family Theatre), The Play That Goes Wrong (Annie), ...Spelling Bee (Rona Lisa/Olive's Mom), and Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett); as a coach, Kate's students have gone on to study at Emerson College, Syracuse University, The Boston Conservatory, NYU, Boston University, Fordham, and more. In addition to theatre, Kate has a background in special education, social justice, and service work, integrating these experiences to create a welcoming, accessible, and empowering environment for students of all backgrounds and abilities.
